No midrange - muddy, clipped bass
I bought these speakers because I am currently living in an apartment and couldn’t rationalize spending a fortune on speakers that I would never be able to use at any kind of high volume. I am disappointed in these. They are not the worst speakers ever, but I have serious issues with the lack of midrange (even with extensive tweaking). The speakers are light (never a good sign) and feel cheap. The bass is clipped and muddy. I would not buy these again.

Reasonable price, sturdy, good cords, easy setup. Testing on the computer gave a lot of static noise but none noted during usual use. Very convenient controls and off switch on extension cord.

awesome speakers!
Bought the G51 5.1 system a few months back on amazon and love it.Awesome sound range,fun to tweek along with an x-fi soundcard,a little advice,if you hook this up to a 360 directly you might have issues with the rear speakers being disorted and cutting out.After emailing logitech i was told this setup is meant for a 5.1 soundcard i ordered the x-fi platinum and rca adapter and all is cool now.The Z-5500 5.1 THX is next on my list!

Requires a bit of tweaking
As others have pointed out the cables on the speakers could be longer, I had to extend two of them to get everything connected in my small office. Overall the speakers sound good, although there is definitely room for improvement especially in the mid-range. It would have been nice to see a larger element in the the satellites. The control module is fantastic, well weighted so it stays where it’s put and provides convenient control over the system. Having the headphone and mic jacks up top is very convenient.

Logitech has allways delivered top products and never fail.

These are the best 5.1 Surround Sound speakers i ever heard. You can even hear footsteps behind you.

The Price is great and is so cheap then the retail price.

Also its logitech so you know it works.

continous misfortune
I love all features of this camera, pictures are beautiful, it is easy to take them, but… There is no way I can use it now - it has some electrick shortcut in it that makes battery to overheat while not in use, burns it out after couple shots, lens gets stuck in open position. I sent it for repair since it is still on manufacturer’s warranty and they returned it to me not working at all after 1.5 months of wait. First - do not rely on warranty. second - if you buy - check that you cna take more than 10 pictures at a time - that has been maximum I could do. If light is low than about 3 - before so called repairs…

Great Camera.. VERY DURABLE (or maybe I’m just lucky )
I have had this camera since Christmas and it has treated me very well. It takes really good photos. It has difficulties in dim lit rooms, but nothing more than any other basic camera I have owned (Finally moved up to DSLR and wow what a difference). I still carry this camera around so I have a camera handy when lugging my giant DSLR around isnt practical. The one thing I have been extremly impressed with is the durability. I was at the Pepsi Center in Denver watching an indoor football game and I accidentally dropped it into the row in front of me. It missed the chair in front of me totally and landed directly on the concrete. I would say it was about a 6-7 foot drop. I know part of it must have been luck, but the only thing that broke was a small clip that holds the battery in when you open the battery door. Not a big deal really, I just now know to expect the battery to come popping out when I open the door. Other than that the camera works as good as the first day I got it. Granted I dont use it as much as I used to, now that I have my new “BEAST” of a camera (Canon 40D) because the pictures arent even in the same league, but for a camera in this range, I would definately buy another one if it hadnt survived my accidental drop. It is very handy and will fit in my LARGE pocket. For a convienient, semi-pocketable point and shoot, I dont think anyone would be dissappointed with this camera.

better than expected
i had high expectations for this phone and it has surpassed all of them. i bought it for my wife but will be ordering one for myself soon.

Simple all-in-one mobile phone and browser… Camera not the best
Even though Amazon dispatched a Nokia N81 2GB instead of what I’ve bought… I’m very satisfied with the product, It looks very nice, feels a little heavy and the keys feels like “cheap plastic”… all the rest of functionality is pretty good, specially in what concerns to wi-fi use. the speakers sound very clearly and conectivity is good… What I don’t like too much is the camera… not too good resolution (max 2MB) and you can’t put it quiet when taking the picture, nor it remembers the last configuration… so it’s not point and shoot… It’s, look the configuration, change it, point, shoot, review… and for night or low light scenes it’s very green. Music, Video and web browsing is Ok, as long as is phone, with that great navigation in the GUI. RECOMENDABLE !

Great phone, but reception problems
I wanted to be able to give this phone a 5-star review — and if I was able to separate my experience with the phone itself from my experience with signal strength and reception, I would. With enough storage for most of my music library, an easy Bluetooth link in the car, two very nice cameras (one facing towards you, one facing outward) and all sorts of application download capabilities the phone itself is quite powerful. Never encountered any of the usual poor application responsiveness, and the new N-Gage gaming system looks pretty slick.

Unfortunately, however, I am on T-Mobile. Previously I was using a Motorola KRZR K1 and while it doesn’t have as many bells and whistles it provides very good reception, in San Francisco at least. Four bars from home, four bars from the office, and no dropped calls in between. After swapping the SIM into the Nokia N81, I get no signal at the office and only one bar at home. I can’t speak to how well this phone works on other networks, but unfortunately I’ll be returning to my old phone.

Don’t buy into the bells and whistles
Here’s the jist of my Garmin experiance:

Bought 3 different models. Tested 2, the 760 and the 680. The FM transmitter is not clear (on any channel). So it unusable as a MP3 player, and unless you want to listen to intermittent static between directions, you’ll just use the internal speaker. The blue-tooth also works, but not great, so unless you want to sound like you’re in a box, you’ll stop using that. The traffic mode did NOT redirect me around backed up freeway.

Buy a SIMPLIFIED GPS unit (don’t even get wide-screen, because you won’t need it, although it sounds nice) next one I buy will be small and just get me from A to B, and no bells and whistles.

Awesome Garmin!
This GPS is amazing! It gets an A+ in my opinion. Easy to use and accurate.

Versatile
I bought this to replace my wife’s old Garmin c320. Part of my motivation was to help her comply with the new hands-free law in California. The bluetooth hands free feature was easy to setup and works great. We also like the FM transmitter. Although we live in a major metropolitan area with a crowded FM band, we find we don’t notice the small amount of interference on the channel unless the car is stopped and very quiet. All in all, having a little background noise is worth being able to hear navigation instructions and music better through the car speakers.

The navigation interface on this device is much more refined than the previous one we had. In addition to faster seek/calculation times, it is clearer (helped in part by the larger screen) and gives welcome additional information such as the car’s current speed and the speed limit for the road currently traveled. The route feature which will give the shortest route for multiple destinations is also very useful.

We decided to go ahead and use the dash disc to mount the unit. At first we were frustrated because it didn’t stick very well. After leaving the disc alone overnight without the unit attached though we found it was fine. The mount is better than the one that came with the c320.

We love that this device eliminates the need for so many separate devices. Why have a separate FM transmitter, mp3 player, hands-free kit and navigation unit? The fact that these functions are integrated smoothly, is worth something in and of itself.

More then I expected
I got this for my son’s graduation from college. He had borrowed his friends GPS systems but found this one to be the best. He uses it all the time now that he lives in a new city and it has never failed him.

Great Product
We’ve used our new GPS for the past 2-3 road trips since we’ve got it, and have been loving it so far.

Pros:

-More POI (points of intrests) loaded on to this system compared to any other competitor in the market. You’ll find this very useful when trying to find new places to visit. I found new places to eat in my own neighborhood even.

-Intuitive menu screens and navigations

OMG
I ordered and received this set about a week ago through one of Amazon’s partners (the one currently being used at this writing). Anyway, more about the set and the free delivery later. Both the decision to buy this TV and the method of delivery were extremely important to me for budget considerations. And nerve wracking! But I’d had my eye on this Toshiba for over 6 months and now I believe it’s been discontinued; which made my stress levels even higher!! My advice? Buy it as soon as you can!

The set itself is my dream come true. The picture is phenomenal compared to the others I’ve viewed in this size range (Sony, Samsung and Sharp). The picture is simply…better. Very black blacks! Incredibly sharp and bright, with no banding, ghosting. Standard TV and DVD replay is good, not great. This set apparently plays exactly whatever “feed” it gets. So it can be spectacular one moment or not so sharp the next (though standard reception still is watchable). It’s the HD reception that “knocks your socks off”! And I can see no “blur” on fast action sequences, whether with sports or movies when it’s getting HD reception. The non-glare screen is another big plus! No reflections of the lamps behind you, sun, etc. on this set. It’s crystal clear, bright and sharp in any room light. What can I say? I love this Toshiba!

Now about the shipping. It was “free” and to “my door”. The driver was very professional and friendly. Unloaded the set for inspection and helped me look it over, in depth. It was perfect. So I say “congrats” to Amazon and Sixth Ave. for selling and delivering a great product to me for about a grand or more less than the retail stores here. Don’t miss this opportunity if you’re looking for a great 52″ HDTV!

Great product and service
The Toshiba REGZA 52HL167 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV that I purchased thru Amazon is a great product. Delivery and set up went smoothly and as promised. The product is everything I expected and more. I needed a screen that wouldn’t reflect light since the TV is near large windows. Other reviews said this TV would fit the bill and indeed it does.

Good for 1 month, then who knows
I had this TV for exactly one month. Luckily I could send it back for a full refund. The TV stopped turning on. Tried different outlets, differnt electronics in the outlets everything else worked fine. The TV did look good for the time I had it. But it lacks a few feature other TVs in its price range have, like Picture in Picture or USB viewing (the one on this is just for service). From playing games on it there was some blurring with the 8ms reponse time. The sound was decent for TV speakers. The features are lacking compared to other TVs, and the price has gone up, I got it for $1941 and now is about $300 more. Also I should mention it is a very heavy TV for an LCD and thicker than most, just another reason to go with a different TV. If it worked I would give the TV a 3 star review, but I would suggest buying through amazon for the teriffic Customer Service. They extended my return window since I only had 3 days left to return the TV, and it was Saturday and it would take a few business days past my return window to process the return. A hassel but as smoth as can be.

BUYER BEWARE!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have a similar Toshiba 47LZ196 that I paid $3499.99 for in Dec. 2006 that is just under 1 year and 2.5 months old and the panel ($3400.00) crapped out on me. After being informed by multiple Toshiba reps that I was in the window to receive assistance I was informed NOTHING would be covered and I was responsible for the cost of the part and repairs. What a joke for a higher end flat panel. One year and almost $4000.00 down the old crapper. Such a shame since I really liked that tv.

After several months of researching I decided on this TV. When I compared it to other 52in HDTV’s including Sony, Samsung & Sharp, there was a very noticeable reduction in glare on this set. Actually there were no reflections. Price at Samsung was another factor. Throw in no sales tax their free white glove delivery service and it was a no brainer. I’ve been watching it for a month and the picture quality is tops. Good menu and very easy to use remote. Extremely happy with it and the delivery service.

Design
The W810 follows a long tradition of beautifully designed and crafted phones from Sony Ericsson. The same candy-bar style that graced the W800 is here, as is the horizontally-oriented camera unit on the back of the phone, allowing you to hold the phone just as you would a camera when you’re taking pictures. The W810’s screen sports 176 x 220 pixel resolution with support for 262,000 colors. Quick access buttons below the screen make it easy to control the phone’s Walkman music features, while a five-way center button controls most of the phone’s menus and features.

The W810 contains 20 MB of embedded memory, but as mentioned, a Memory Stick Duo slot is provided, and it also supports Pro Duo cards, giving you storage capacities of 2 GB and beyond. The phone ships with a 512 MB Memory Stick Duo card. Of course, there’s also a port for the phone’s included stereo headset. Feature packed phone!!
This is one amazing phone. I’ve had it for close to 3 years now and I’m very happy with it’s durability and the features. I use every feature on this phone and it’s amazing how versatile it is. Since it’s an unlocked phone, if you get the cheap internet with your phone service provider, you can do even more. I pay $4.99 a month for internet from T-Mobile. With that, you can do push email, instant messanging (using the web, so it does not count as text messages), browse the web using the downloadable Opera Mini Browser (it’s free to download). You can download programs for free from the Sony Website such as Google Maps. I’ve used this many times to get directions to places. It has a fm radio (downside is you have to attach an antenna to hear it, which is annoying), great as an mp3 player (once you add a memory stick to it, I added an 8GB one, which you can store thousands of songs on it), It has a flashlight, which I find very handy at times.

The way the menu’s and the settings are organized on the phone it’s very easy to get used to. Before having a Sony Ericsson phone, I’ve had 6 phones from different manufacturers and I find the Sony to be so easy to figure out.

I also have dropped this phone over 50 times easily on many various surfaces and heights. With the exception to the scratches, it still works great.

The BAD side of this phone..

the size of the screen is too small to browse the web comfortably, if you want fast internet you will not get it with this, cannot stream video from the web, the camera is not good in low lighting because the flash is weak. The operating system of the phone seems to lag at times.

For the price of this phone now, around $200 (if you check on ebay), it’s very well worth it. I paid a lot more for it at the time it came out, but no regrets.

Best Phone so Far
I bought this phone over a year ago, and absolutly no complains about it, my only regret on it was never activating a security option of block the phone is the sim is changed, why?, because they stole it a few months ago and now someone else is having fun with it.

Great phone overall
I agree with almost all previous positive comments, so there’s no reason to rewrite those. There is a tiny drawback that a potential buyer should be aware of: The data transfer is at USB1 speed and thus too slow. Since you are unlikely to use this phone for any heavy-duty data transfer it is ignorable. Besides, you could copy your data directly from your MS card it could be avoided. However, this may become a problem if you want to upload music directly, and not by the SE-provided software. Then, unless you encoded your MP3 files with a compatible encoder and at a 192 or less bitrate, the phone is unable to play continuously. So, in effect, you’ll have to use the SE-provided software. Still, this does not take away from other nice features of the phone.

good buy
I bought this phone as a gift for my boyfriend and he is just crazy about it. It has a lot of cool features and it is very compact.

The best phone I have ever used
I have used several Nokia phones for work and had bought a Sony Ericsson T310 for personal use as it offered (and delivered) ridiculously long battery life: an average of 11 or so days without charging (I don’t do long conversations on cell phones), an intuitive interface and all the features I needed then. Years later I was forced to change the phone (dropped it too many times) and natually another Sony Ericsson was the first choice. Based on the price and features I settled on the W800 series since I was now walking with two phones and a Walkman radio. I did a poll of the persons I knew with non-basic phones and the majority responded that the Sony Walkman phones were the phone of choice for persons who didn’t like Motorola phones. In fact persons who had owned them stated that they LOVED their phones. Cutting a long story short, I bought this phone from Amazon in January, I’ve had no problems since the purchase and I LOVE this phone. The intuitive interface and the ‘info’ option for most menu items meant I only had to read the manual (a month later) to see what other features were on the phone otherthan those I figured out on my own. This phone meets all my media needs (FM radio, MP3, 2MP camera) so I just plug it into the MP3 jack on my car radio and I’m good to go. I’m definitely going to get the 2GB expansion card… My only minor complaint is that the connection interface only allows one item to be connected at a time; a non-issue really…

Love Love Love it!!!

Good Quality HDTV
TV was everything it was advertised to be. With regard to picture quality, on non-HD channels the image was a little blocky or the pixels were obvious, but the quality is excellent on the few HD channels out now. Also, people look stockier because of the wide screen but I think that’s something I’ll just have to get used to. Shipment was terrific, it was here in about 4 days, so much earlier than I’d expected.

Sony 52″ LCD Bravia TV
This TV is awesome!! Not being a really techy person, it took us a while to get it set-up with the cable box, DVR, Receiver, external speakers, but when we did - WOW.

We picked this TV after a lot of research. One of the deciding factors was the “frame” design and color. It doesn’t jump out at you and there’s no reflection off it. Of course, the other features are what drew us to this TV initially - but the appearance was what made it the #1 choice hands down.

It was delivered on time and in perfect condition. We did not open it upon arrival because we were doing some remodeling and were not prepared to hang it yet. The driver brought the box into the house where we requested said sign it as “uninspected”. When we opened it a couple weeks later it was in perfect condition.

When shopping yesterday I saw the 46″ of this model TV for $100 MORE than we paid for the 52″ - plus we saved the sales tax.

AMAZING!!

Fun for all ages
Up to now I have never done gaming consoles. I didn’t get into any of the playstations or the Xbox, or anything else. However the Wii has captured me with its different way of playing. You can play games like you would for any other gaming console but you also have the interactive motion from the Wii remote. Playing sports by actually acting them out for me makes video games a lot more fun. I would recommend everyone to give this a try, even people who have never loved video games can find fun in this. We have had friends over with children of all ages and everyone has had great fun playing against each other. I love it and say go and play because wii all want to play!!

A completely flawless console; well, almost completely flawless
I spent the better part of a year, more or less, trying to get my hands on Nintendo’s new system, and not even two months ago I finally got one, by sheer luck and coincidence.

I’d seen my cousin playing numerous games and sat in total admiration of the gameplay, not to mention the stellar graphics that add to the enjoyment, unlike the 360 of PS3 where it’s pretty much just “hey, look at these pretty graphics, now play this drudgingly boring and stale game.” Ok, Bioshock is a fantastic game, probably one of my all time favorites, but every other game I played for the 360 was a joke.

What it boils down to is if the X-Box weren’t fueled by Microsoft we wouldn’t even be hearing about it anymore, as it would have gone completely under by now. Same goes for Playstation, which needs a giant like Sony to produce it. Nintendo is simply Nintendo, no mega corporations behind the product, in the sense that I was speaking of with the other two systems, there’s just Nintendo.

The naysayers are complaining about how this isn’t a real gaming console; what is a game? Something that kills time, amuses you and allows you to have fun with friends while you all play. I’m pretty sure the Wii is able to meet all these needs without the need of depending on the crutch of online play. X-Box just rehashes the same idea over and over; First Person Shooters; there are some other standout titles, Fable being one that immediately comes to mind, but chances are if there’s a new hyped up game coming out for the 360 it’s a FPS; great.

With the Wii you get a variety of games; FPS, of course, RPGs, shoot ‘em ups, party games and just generally interesting concepts like Endless Ocean and Cookin’ Mama Cook Off. Notice how I haven’t said a thing about the PS3; yeah, that’s how much of an impact it’s had thus far.

The system is fantastic, the Wiimote is a stellar creation on the part of the geniuses at Nintendo. Never any problems with overheating, unlike the other two, memory or anything at all. Sure, the Wiimote can drain batteries, but that’s not a big deal with the charger considered.

Now, the one flaw I have to hold against Nintendo. When you download a game from the Shop, the colors are altered from the original versions. Mario 3 is completely different, and it just irks me. It’s a personal preference, I know, but still, come on, it’s $[...] for a game and I’d like the original all the way, colors, controls and everything.

That said, for a perfect system get the Wii; if you’re half brain dead and amused by the same thing over and over with varying graphics, go for something else.

Fun for Everybody!
Sure, the graphics aren’t as good as something like the PS3, and the number of titles available isn’t as many, but the stuff that is available is VERY high quality and the majority of the games I have seem manage to be both challenging and accessible for everybody who wants to play. That means your girlfriend, your wife, your mother, your father…anybody.

This is a great system to bring the family together and have a good evening of fun.

Nobody to play with? No problem. Many of the top games hook up to the Internet (a free service) and you’re able to play people around the world. Mario Kart is great for this. It adds an entirely new dimension to the game and makes it a lot more fun, in my opinion.

Love the Wii. One of my better investments this year!!

Poor Options eqauls large DOA problem
We payed through the nose to get a bundle on line for our kid for her birthday. After the big build up, Got it set up, it wouldn’t load the discs. I’m not saying it wouldn’t recognize the discs, it wouldn’t pull them in. We can get a repair in 15 business days or pay a fee and get a refurb unit in 3 business days. These lousy 2 choices indicate to me that they must have a fairly large dead on arrival problem. Beware.
