Decent but Still no Justice
I can't remember a single F1 game that has ever really been great. Some of the PSX games were enjoyable, but never really accurate in some way. No matter who the developer has been on any platform, we tend to get moderate to mediocre games at the best. I would rate this as a solid B.

So what is good here? Well overall the game is pretty enjoyable. The AI is pretty unforgiving, but i think it should be. This is F1 after all. The career mode is rewarding if you get into it like I did. And the graphics are more or less clean. Engine sounds seemed a little too synthesized, but it was nice to hear the noises differ on each car. I particularly liked the Ferrari. The learning curve for a good lap time with the aids off isn't bad. Controls are good, with the Dualshock 3 too. But as always has been, there is much room for improvement.

Sure the lighting effects are decent and the tracks are all nicely rendered, this feels mostly like a PS2 title that has been updated only slightly. The road surfaces need more texture, particularly the curbing, that appears completely flat and should have raised texture. The vibration programming however, is exceptionally good.

The part i don't particularly like, is the lap times, even if you are really spot on and careful, the times don't really get particularly close to the real V8 engine cars. It isn't that the tracks are too long, its that the cars don't feel as nimble as they should or look like they are going fast enough. The speed sensation is ok but its not good enough. We needs more speed. I know it is hard to duplicate the behavior of an F1 car, how would they test one right? Even the F2007 in Gran Turismo wasn't really that spot on if you ask me. But this is what we have.

Also for bonuses, why not pull a Gran Turismo and give us more hidden cars and classic F1 machinery? How about an FW-14 and the like? Or at least an updated roster set and paint livery for newer seasons? For a technical sport full of so much passion, we have never had a game for F1 to show much of this.

Overall, sure I'm disappointed again with F1 Championship Edition, but it still is fun. There is a good challenge, I liked the car development laps over a weekend and the career mode is pretty cool too. But as there has never been any continuity of developers over the years for these games, there has been so very few steady improvements to warrant a memorable release. Us F1 fans are left with something that never really does the sport justice.

Unfortunately yet again, the licensing musical chairs says a totally new developer has the F1 rights for the next game coming out and I'm pretty sure, it won't be much more than a B, at best.

Call it a hunch. But we can hope.

Great!
It's the only F1 game that i could find... and it's a blast..

i do the full race from practice sessions to qualifying and then the full race.. i'll sit there for three hours without noticing ...

i love playing with full difficulty so you have to push every lap to keep up, and still remain focused to not tap the wall or another car ... cause when you do a wheel or smoething will come off real easy..

the car settings are great because the proper setup can improve lap times dramatically compared to just driving the stock car.. i initially thought that the game was impossible on hard, but now i have no problem getting pole ... get it! it's fun ...

ONLY AND BEST NEXT GEN F1 GAME
FIRST OF ALL LET ME SAY THAT I HAD TO PURCHASE THIS GAME FROM AMAZON COS I COULDNT FIND IT ANYWHERE ELSE (HORRIBLE)
THIS GAME IS NOT JUST THE ONLY NEXT-GEN F1 GAME THERE IS AT THE MOMENT BUT IS THE BEST THERE'S EVER BEEN.
THIS IS SO FAR THE MOST REALISTIC F1 GAME I'VE PLAYED THE GRAPHICS ARE GOOD, THE CIRCUITS ARE AWESOME AND VERY WELL DETAILED. NOT TO MENTION THE CARS.

THE GRAPHICS ARE NOT ALL THAT GREAT BUT THIS GAME WAS RELEASED IN 2007 AND SONY'S CONSOLE WAS STILL TOO NEW TO KNOW HOW TO USE ITS ENTIRE POWER.

THE MOST AMAIZING THING ABOUT THE GAME IS THE REALISM IT HAS, IF YOU DRIVE TOO FAST YOU ARE INEVITABLY GOING TO CRASH OR GET OUT OF THE ROAD, IF YOU HAVE LITTLE GAS LEFT IN YOUR TANK YOU'LL GO FASTER BUT LOSE BALANCE.

MAKING A PITS STOP IN NOT AUTOMATIC, WHICH IS GOOD COS THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION AND SEE WHICH BUTTONS TO PREES SO YOUR MECHANICHS START DOING THEIR DIFFERENTS JOBS (CHANGE THE TIRES, FILL THE GAS TANK, ETC)

IN CONCLUSSION THIS GAME IS THE BEST NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT HAS NO COMPETITION BUT ALSO BECAUSE IT'S A REALISTIC GAME, THAT COVERS EVERY LITTLE DETAIL.

SO FOR F1 FANS WHO OWN A PS3 DONT DOUBT AND BUY THIS GREAT GAME.

FORZA FERRARI

A Realistic Take on Formula One - From Behind the Wheel
After spending time with the Grand Turismo series, I became interested in other racing games that provided similar realism, but in racing venues that GT doesn't address. This particular game provides a realistic, and fairly technical, Formula One experience for living room racers. A word of caution, though, as I found that driving competitively in the game can be quite challenging, especially if one wishes to forgo the many aids intended to help novice drivers. That said, if you're looking for a real challenge, terrific graphics, and what it's like to experience an F1 race weekend, then this game is for you. It also supports several different racing wheels, such as the Logitech series, which provide a better driving experience than the standard "six-axis" Sony hand controller.

Great game
Great game experience. The programme has several levels of complexity and realism, for the novice to the experienced demanding player. Includes driving in different weather conditions making it a demanding and fun game. Much better than the famous Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Formula One team has been working to clearly improve the game, whereas Gran Turismo team has paid much more attention to graphics than to making their game more realistic and less predictable. I am glad I bought Formula One for my sons and myself. I could not say exactly the same for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, although it is a nice game too, but rather predictable and thus boring for the experienced player.

I have found my perfect phone
I recently bought the Blackberry Curve 8320 because I needed to have a smartphone so that I can organize my busy life. I basically outgrew my old cell phone. this phone is great! I can keep up with my e-mail, my appointments, my contacts, calendar, text my friends, surf the internet when I am away from my home computer, I don't know how I managed to live without it. If I ever upgrade to another phone it will definitely be a Blackberry Curve. If you order a phone, or anything, do it through Amazon.com. They have the best deals and the customer service is cool.

BlackBerry Curve 8320
Great phone. Speaker phone and sound quality are good, specially when it uses WiFi.

terrible phone
service is good, its a terrible phone though, it freezes once a day and take 7 minutes to reboot. drops calls like no other phone i have ever owned. Ridiculous piece of crap.

Not so much about the phone but the ordering process with T-Mobile
I told T-Mobile I wanted the Titanium, instead they sent me the Sunset Red. I called and they promised that they will ship out the Titanium right away, but when I followed up with them several days later, they haven't shipped out the replacement yet. I changed my mind and wanted the 8820 instead and asked that they gave me discount for it just as they did for the Curve, however, they wouldn't budge, didn't offer to give me any discount at all for the 8820 and told me that any time I wanted to leave, I can do so. They weren't apologetic at all for having made mistakes twice. So I left and went to AT&T. Their starter plan is more expensive than T-Mobile but they have rollover minutes, so now I have the peace of mind knowing that if I went over my minutes, I wouldn't get charge for over 0 like T-Mobile did to me. T-Mobile needs to learn a lesson. Consumers are the people who have powers since they are the ones who spend $$$, and there are many companies who are eager to have their monies. Consumers can walk away as they please and go to any companies who provide better services and respect their times. When I called to cancel my account, T-Mobile was hoping that I would have a buyer remorse with AT&T and don't leave them. It was too late, having wasted enough of my time with them, I did not wish to do that anymore especially when I know that it will very likely to happen again giving the history.

Good, but not complete!
I consider this book a good introduction to the iPhone as an "intructions manual". However, I do not consider that this book covers issues "outside the box". Things to consider for future editions should include:

1) Pros and cons of purchasing the iPhone at an Apple Store, ATT Store, or super chain stores. Considering that the price is the same at all of these places, I do not see a reason to purchase it at any other place than the Apple Store, if there is one near by. You cannot beat the support from the knowledgable staff at the Apple Store.

2) Top accessories to consider purchasing. The book makes no mention of screen protectors, carrying cases, necessary connections with the car stereo, etc.

3) There is no mention on how to transfer data from other PDAs (Windows Mobile, Palm OS, Black Berry) into the iPhone.

Hopefully these will be included in future editions.

iPhone Info You Need to Know
I am a tech geek and I do buy Dummies books because for some items, Wiley is the only publisher that will issues guides for items I am looking for. This book is an excellent example. iPhone for Dummies covers the original iPhone, NOT the 3G version. That said, it is still a great read. I bought this book because I was interested in an iPod Touch which is an iPhone without the phone. This is an easy to read, fun and informative book with lots of usage tips. There are wonderful, full color shots that show off the screen and features of the iPhone. Many of the gripes about missing features located at the end of the book, were added to the new 3G version. Grab the 3G version of this book when it comes out. This book will give you inside tips that aren't found in the manual. It is helpful for iPod Touch users as well. Quick start guides are one thing, but great tips make your device much easier to use. I have a co-worker who has an original iPhone and he was amazed that I knew more about his device than he did.

"Missing" Apple manual
The iPhone is a great product. But it takes getting used to. I am an Apple/Macintosh devoteé since 1994, but one place they fall down is on manuals. If they have one at all it is incomprehensible. I am also a fan of all the "dummie" books. And this is a good one.

Helpful
The iPhone is very intuitive to use, but there are features and tips that let you get the most from it. These are covered well in this familiar "Dummies" format.

Good Overview of iPhone but Dated
The iPhone for Dummies is a dated book and seems to be written for iPhone with firmware 1.0. The book does not cover the January 15, 2008 update that Apple rolled out at Mac World. Apple has also rolled out a 16 G iPhone in addition to the 8 G iPhone as of February 5, 2008 which is not covered in the book.

For someone that has been using the Mac OS X and uses Apples standard application such as Address Book, iPhoto, and iTunes the iPhone is probability not a hard to use and the iPhone for Dummies probability seems like an easy read. But if you are coming from a Microsoft Windows platform or have had little interest in learning or do not use a lot of the standard Apple programs that are on your Mac this book is for you. The authors easily walk you through the features of the iPhone. If the iPhone seems easy to you and you have questions about specific functions the book is easy to jump around without having to read the book from cover to cover. The book has a good table of contents and a good index to find what you want about the iPhone.

The book has good color photos and graphics so you can look at the pictures as you work along with the authors. The authors bolded the steps in the instructions so they can easily found and followed.

The authors cover all the basic functions of the iPhone in 13 chapters from making a phone call, playing music, and surfing the web. They have 4 additional chapters that would be of interest to iPhone users. The chapter titles are "When Good iPhones Go Bad," Ten Thing for the Wish List," "Ten Terrific Web Resources," and "Ten Helpful Hints, Tips, and Shortcuts."

One feature I wanted to learn more about was the use of the Google Maps Application for the before the January 15th update. I found the directions easy to follow, and I was able used the iPhone to navigate from Denver, CO to Glennwood Springs, CO and back on the instructions in the sections on Google Maps Application.

One item that I have had problems with on the iPhone is getting the iPhone to sync my Apple Bluetooth headset for the iPhone. I looked in the book regarding this subject and it is very weak on Bluetooth information. I am guessing the book was written prior to the headset being released.

The authors also point out some of the things that the iPhone does not do. I found myself frustrated when the iPhone was in cover flow (horizontal) playing music. They point out that you lose some to the controls such has volume control. You have to switch pack to vertical position in order to control the volume.

I would have like to see the publisher have a site for the book for updates to the iPhone features. Since it seems there has been 3 updates in iPhone features since the book has been published.

The book iPhone for Dummies is a good book for someone wanting to getting up and going with the iPhone. It is an easy to read and understand. The downside of the book is it is dated.

Junk
I wouldn't even give this IPhone case one star but I had to choose something. Anyway, do not waist your money. Even though it is cheap money wise, it is not worth how cheaply made the case is. Steer away from this one

Love the red
I like this thing, it's a nice protector for my phone without being bulky and I love the color. Helps me identify my phone in a sea of iPhones!!! Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is cause of the screen over-lay piece that came with it which you don't really need anyway. It has paper on it and the glue is impossible to get off plus it's VERY difficult to overlay without lots of bubbles. Buy it for the case, it's fun.

Not bad.. with some modification.
This is a decent case that provides excellent grip when talking on the phone. The only problem is that it creates a lip around the whole edge of the touchscreen which gets really annoying when navigating the IPhone OS. To fix this problem, I had to trim all around the case where the screen is so that it would be flush with the sides.. Doing this made the case look bad though.. So I only use it when I want the extra grip that it provides.

you zoo
Trust me the best investment for your iPhone!
well worth the purchase, your iPhone will thank you.

iPod Touch Silicon Case
Do not buy from this vendor. The silicon case is not made for the iPod Touch and they would not allow me to return it.
